Petruchio
In the running for my favourite cocktail of all time, I give you the Petruchio!
Ingredients
- 2 shots gin
- 2 shots Aperol
- 1 shot sugar syrup*
- 1 shot lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- Ice
- Dash Bitters
Or if you’re weighing it out:
- 90g gin
- 90g aperol
- 45g sugar syrup*
- 45g lemon
- 1 egg white
- Ice
- Dash Bitters
Makes 2 drinks
Method
*Sugar syrup: If you don’t have sugar syrup in the fridge, you can make it super easy! Pour 250ml boiling water over 1 cup of sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Pop in the fridge or freezer until cold. I recommend doing this overnight, and do a double batch so you always have it in the fridge.
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, or a glass jar with the lid tightened.
- Shake it hard for 45 seconds.
- Strain into a glass.
- Add 3 drops of bitters and stir through the top.
